# Weigh Station

Free, and it checks any paid service before you pay it. Before your agent pays, it pulls in here and we check that the load matches the paperwork: we compare **the real price and the wallet that gets paid** against the service’s public listing. Checking costs nothing: we read the service’s price quote without paying it, and we don’t charge you.

## What it does

**Find a paid tool**  
Describe the job (“product price lookup”, “weather forecast”). You get matching services from Coinbase’s public x402 index, each checked live.

**Check before paying**  
For any x402 address: the live price, the network, and the wallet the money goes to. If that wallet differs from the public listing, you get a clear warning.

**Neutral**  
Results are ordered by whether a service answered with a live price, then by how many different wallets have paid it. No paid placement, and TOLLkit’s own tools get no boost.

We check your endpoint every 15 minutes and send a signed webhook when something changes.

Webhook events
| Event | When it is sent |

| Down | After two failed checks in a row. Once, not every 15 minutes. |
| Back up | When it recovers. |
| Wrong wallet | If your quote starts asking buyers to pay a wallet that isn’t yours. |
| Price changed | When the amount you quote changes. |
| Expiring | Three days before your 30 days end. |
| Public record | State and 30-day uptime anyone can look up. Never your webhook. |

## Sign up in three steps

1.  **Prepare (free).** We read the wallet your endpoint asks buyers to pay.

2.  **Sign** the returned `message` with that same wallet. Free, moves no money, and proves the endpoint is yours.
    
3.  **Pay $5**: POST the same fields plus `signature` to `/weigh/subscribe` with any x402 client. A bad signature or wallet mismatch is refused and never charged.

## Questions

**Does checking cost anything or pay the service?**

No. We send one unpaid request and read the price it quotes. Nothing is ever paid.

**Can a seller pay to rank higher?**

No. Monitoring buys alerts and a status record. It never changes what the checks report or where a service ranks.

**Does it cover services that aren’t TOLLkit’s?**

Yes. Any x402 service. TOLLkit’s own tools are checked and ranked by the same rules.

**What does the wrong-wallet warning mean?**

The service’s live price quote asks buyers to pay a different wallet from the one in its public listing. Confirm the recipient before paying.
