Tools for any AI

These are the tools TOLLkit Wallet’s AI reaches for. Any other AI can use them too: paid per call in USDC, free calls every day, and a failed call costs nothing.

Tools marked 3 free/day give three free calls a day once your AI is connected through MCP, no wallet needed.

Checking these prices against the service…

Connect your AI

One web address. Nothing to install, no account, no API key. Pick your app for the three steps.

https://api.tollkit.dev/mcp

Connect TOLLkit Wallet and your AI pays from it, inside the tool-spend cap you set. Without a wallet it just shows the price, and the free tools work straight away.

Claude, web and desktop app

  1. Open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Click +, then Add custom connector.
  3. Paste this address, leave Advanced settings empty, and click Add:
    https://api.tollkit.dev/mcp

Turn it on in a chat with the + button, bottom left, then Connectors. Free plans can add one connector like this. On Team or Enterprise, an owner adds it under Organization settings → Connectors first.

ChatGPT, Business, Enterprise and Edu

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode. On Enterprise and Edu an admin has to allow it first.
  2. Create a new app and give it this address as its MCP server:
    https://api.tollkit.dev/mcp
  3. Your workspace admin may need to approve it before it shows in chats.

Custom connectors in ChatGPT need a Business, Enterprise or Edu plan and work on the web. Pro can connect read-only. OpenAI changes these menus often; their guide is the current word.

Cursor, in one click

Add to Cursor

Needs Cursor installed on this computer. Or add it by hand to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "tollkit": { "url": "https://api.tollkit.dev/mcp" }
  }
}

VS Code, with GitHub Copilot

  1. In your project, open or create .vscode/mcp.json.
  2. Put this in it, or add the tollkit entry to what’s there:
    {
      "servers": {
        "tollkit": { "type": "http", "url": "https://api.tollkit.dev/mcp" }
      }
    }

VS Code uses "servers", not "mcpServers", the usual reason a copied snippet silently doesn’t load. Prefer menus? Run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette and give it the address.

Claude Code, in the terminal

Paste into your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user tollkit https://api.tollkit.dev/mcp

--scope user makes it available in every project, not just this folder.

Codex, OpenAI’s terminal agent

Paste into your terminal:

codex mcp add tollkit --url https://api.tollkit.dev/mcp

Gemini CLI, in the terminal

Paste into your terminal:

gemini mcp add --transport http tollkit https://api.tollkit.dev/mcp

Check it worked. Ask it: “Use TOLLkit’s try_it_free tool.” It’s free and returns a real result. Free tools work straight away; paid ones need an agent with its own wallet. Set one up.

TOLLkit Wallet's Connect your AI panel: a private connector address, a Copy button and the steps for Claude.
Want your AI to run your wallet, not just read tools? Do that from inside TOLLkit Wallet: it hands your AI the wallet with the limits you set. Get TOLLkit Wallet

How paying works

  1. Ask

    Your AI calls a tool. Without a payment it gets the price back, not an error.

  2. Pay

    It signs a USDC payment on Base or Solana from the wallet it was given. No ETH or SOL needed for fees.

  3. Get the result

    The call runs and settles. If it fails, nothing is charged. Each answer comes with a receipt, and a retry with the same Idempotency-Key isn’t charged twice: the same key and body within 10 minutes returns the same answer.

TOLLkit Wallet pays for its AI’s tool calls from your balance, inside the caps on its home screen.

For builders

The same tools as agent skills, a Claude Code plugin, AgentCash entries, OpenAPI files and llms.txt.

Skills and plugin

The same tools, packaged so an agent knows when to use them. Source: github.com/UltraStarz/tollkit-skills.

Any agent that supports skills (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and others):

npx skills add UltraStarz/tollkit-skills

Claude Code plugin (adds the skills and the MCP server). Run this:

/plugin marketplace add UltraStarz/tollkit-skills

then this:

/plugin install tollkit@tollkit

AgentCash, one line for each host: web, chain, data and extract.

npx agentcash@latest add https://web.tollkit.dev
npx agentcash@latest add https://chain.tollkit.dev
npx agentcash@latest add https://data.tollkit.dev
npx agentcash@latest add https://extract.tollkit.dev

Machine-readable

OpenAPI comes one file per hostname. Each paid answer includes a receipt: request id, tool, price and payment transaction (request_id, tool, price_usdc, payment_tx). Every route on this page shows its host; an HTTP route given without one is on https://extract.tollkit.dev.

Selling a tool yourself

Weigh Station checks any x402 endpoint for free. Monitoring is paid by the seller, never by agents, so the checks stay free and neutral.
